After the lockdowns and travel restrictions of the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, there is a human need to meet face to face. The Congress in Reykjavik in July 2022 showed how we have missed meeting face to face.

IDEA Congresses have provided opportunities to bring drama and theatre educators together. Researchers share their new knowledge and understandings. Performers celebrate their achievements.

IDEA2024 provides a window into the quickly developing world of drama education in China.

IDEA organises an international congress located somewhere in the world. The IDEA community gather to share practice and research. Together we share, learn with each other, and build international networks and partnerships.

 

IDEA was founded in Portugal in July 1992 through the initial Congress in Oporto. IDEA has held international congresses: Brisbane, Australia, 1995; Kisumu, Kenya, 1998; Bergen, Norway, 2001; Ottawa, Canada, 2004; Hong Kong, SAR China, 2007; Belém, Brazil, 2010; Paris, France, 2013. The 9th Congress was held in Reykjavik, Iceland July 2022.

 

Each Congress is hosted by an IDEA member working in collaboration with the IDEA Elected Officers. Each IDEA Congress has a unique identity reflecting a sense of place and culture of the host member.

 

 

大会过往历史

 

IDEA组织了一系列遍布世界各地的国际大会。IDEA共同体齐聚一堂，分享实践和研究成果。我们共同分享、相互学习，并建立国际网络与合作伙伴关系。

 

IDEA成立于1992年7月，第一届大会在葡萄牙波尔图举行。IDEA举办了多次国际大会：澳大利亚布里斯班（1995年）、肯尼亚基苏木（1998年）、挪威卑尔根（2001年）、加拿大渥太华（2004年）、中国香港（2007年）、巴西贝伦（2010年）、法国巴黎（2013年）。第九届大会于2022年7月在冰岛雷克雅未克举行。

 

每次大会都由一个由IDEA选举产生的IDEA联盟成员，与IDEA联合举办。每届IDEA大会都有别样的特色，映照着东道国的地域氛围和文化气息。
