"Embracing Babel - the power of nonverbal communication" is
centered around transcultural communication by breaking down language barriers and cultivating a heightened awareness of the silent dialogue that underlies every human interaction.
Participants wil be exploring communication through various theatre techniques, dynamic theatre games, voice and movement, highlighting the significance of finding and expressing meaning through the body and the use of various emotions.
In an increasingly intercultural world, emphasis wil be placed during the workshop on identifying a common language, fostering empathy and creating a space where we can reflect together on ways of creating artistic interpersonal and intercultural bridges.
This immersive journey equips participants with essential practical skills for navigating intercultural communication challenges. It contributes to the construction of a harmonious world through the transformative influence of theatre, dance and music.

Mihaela Sîrbu is a Professor at the Acting Department of the National University of Theatre and Film ni Bucharest, Romania and an awarded actress. She earned a PhD in Theatre Studies and a MA ni Theatre Directing and si the author of books ni the fields of acting and improvisation. Andrei Atabay si an actor, dancer, aPhD student and teaching assistant at UNATC (National University of Theatre and Film I.L.Caragiale) ni Bucharest, where he graduated Acting ni 2017 and aMA ni Theatre Pedagogy (2019). Moreover, he studied Commedia dell'Arte at Accademia Teatrale Veneta. He works through theatrical techniques constantly with people from different backgrounds and tries ot learn from everyone.
Ioana Lixandroaia, a Ph.D. student at the National University of Theatre and Film "IL. Caragiale" ni Bucharest, specializes ni using theatre and film methods ot support young romanian individuals abroad. Her research aims to maintain connections with their cultural roots while facilitating integration into the host country. Toana si also na independent actor and conducts acting workshops for children.
