An exploration of the artistic and educational aspects of drama created within a theatre format
Today, the more accelerated the environmental pollution, self-centerd individual life, and Metalialism are, the more the concept of ecological citizenship, coexistence, mutual trust and homony seem considering importantly. This situation may generate the following questions for drama professionals: how can adopt drama which enables to bring harmonious, trusted, and future-oriented coexistence in the world? where does the educational and artistic quality of drama within the theatre format come from? how is the educational and artistic quality of drama within the theatre format delivered to the participants and audiences? This research aims to explore the above questions with four real-world examples. In this presentation, an explanation of theatre works which has been led in South Korea will be provided with the audience survey data. In additon, the attendees of this presentation will be guided in an intensive exploration of how educational and artistic value can be pursued in the structure of drama created within the theatre format.
