The Role of Drama Education in Nurturing Exceptional Talent within Collective Dynamics

The Role of Drama Education in Nurturing Exceptional Talent within Collective Dynamics

In our paper, we address the role of drama education in collective work, specifically the relationship between exceptionally talented individuals and the average group. How to support outstanding talent without limiting the development of the entire group? How to maintain balance, a healthy atmosphere, and avoid creating a competitive environment. We examine the differences in pedagogical and educational goals when dealing with a gifted individual. Additionally, a new relationship triangle is formed: the talented individual, the teacher, and the parent. We explore the development of communication, social, and creative skills of the entire group, in contrast to or in harmony with the development and support of talent and artistic creativity, regardless of the type and genre. How to proceed when an exceptionally talented individual with the potential to become an outstanding professional creator emerges within the collective.
