“天下大同”

The concept of "A Harmonious World" signifies a society of mutual trust, harmony, and order. It is an essential aspect of ancient Chinese philosophy, expressing the ancient people's pursuit of understanding the world and their aspiration for a harmonious coexistence of humanity.

In today's world, human thinking is becoming increasingly divided, leading to separation, conflicts, and self-centeredness. However, humanity should strive for mutual assistance and coexistence, moving towards the direction of building a shared destiny for all. We need to adopt a unified perspective to overlook the overall state and ultimate relationship of the world and humanity.

Drama is an ancient art form that naturally concerns human fate. It serves as a medium for spiritual and cultural manifestation, communication, exchange, and understanding among people of different ethnicities around the world. It aids humanity in better understanding oneself, others, and the world.

This congress aims to encourage drama educators to utilize drama for the inheritance and dissemination of human outstanding cultures, facilitate communication and exchange among various ethnicities and civilizations, and build bridges of friendship and mutual trust through drama. By contributing to the construction of a shared destiny for humanity, we work together with people from all over the world to realize the concept of "Each Beautiful in Their Own Way, the Beauty of Humanity, Beauty Shared, A Harmonious World."

天下大同，意指一个和睦有信、和谐有序的社会形态，是中国古代思想中的一支重要根脉，它表达着我们的古人对世界进行终极追究的理解，以及对普天下之人类社会共存形态的美好憧憬。

 

时至今日，人类及其思维进程越来越分化，相互分离，各自为政，彼此冲突，而人类应该和衷共济、和合共生，朝着构建人类命运共同体方向不断迈进，共同创造更加美好未来，我们需要站在统一整合的维度上来俯瞰世界和人类的总体状态和终极关系。

 

戏剧是一种人类古老的艺术形式，它天然关心人类命运，是世界各族人民之间精神和文化展现、沟通、交流和了解的媒介，帮助人类更好地理解自己、他人和世界。

 

本届大会将旨在推动和鼓励戏剧教育工作者，运用戏剧进行人类优秀文化的传承和传播、运用戏剧开展人类各民族、文明之间的沟通和交流、运用戏剧搭建友谊和互信的桥梁，为建设人类命运共同体而贡献力量，与全世界各族人民一起“各美其美，美人之美，美美与共，天下大同”。

Logo Concept:

• The image is derived from the Chinese character "同" (tóng), corresponding to the theme of this congress - Constructing a harmonious Cultural, Artistic, and Spiritual Home for Humanity through Drama and Theatre. This theme aligns with the ancient Chinese philosophical idea of "天下大同" (tiān xià dà tóng).

• The central position features the English name of IDEA, symbolizing the journey of the 10th IDEA and IDEAC crossing nine lines to form a portal in time and space, leading to the 2024 congress.

• Above the doorframe, the Arabic numerals 2024 are formed from traditional Chinese patterns, representing the cultural uniqueness of the 2024 congress.

• The logo, as a whole, resembles a theater, symbolizing how drama transcends the boundaries of time and space, leading people to a magical world.

 

理念：

• 图像从中文“同”字变化而来，对应本届大会主题——以戏剧构建人类共同的文化艺术和精神家园，也就是中国古代哲学思想所提倡“天下大同”的理念。

• 中心位置是一个IDEA的英文名称，象征第十届2024IDEA和IDEAC穿越九道线条组成的时空之门，来到2024年的大会。

•  门框上方是中国传统纹路变化出的阿拉伯数字2024，象征2024大会将具有中国文化的特色。

• Logo整体也像一个剧院，寓意戏剧带领人们穿越时空的界限，到达神奇的世界。
